i accidentally opened a color ink cartridge that i thought i needed to since my printer?

installed a new cartridge, but any way,now i have awas not printing propery tho it showed the ink was fine,i still color ink cartridge open now how do i keep it from spoiling ,i hate to waste new ink?

do NOT put the tape back on, you will more than likely mix up all your colours this way. the suggestion about putting it (ink ports facing up, off the plastic!) in the fridge is perfect though.

  1. Put the tape back on the ports and place it in a air tight zip lock bag. That might help it to keep longer.

Put it in a zip lock bag and place it in the bottom drawer of your fridge. Fridges keep cartridges good for many months even well past expiry date.
To keep ink cartridges good they need cool moist air.

i refill for a living, and i could fill pages with all the folks who’ve f’d their colours by putting tape back on
